Deputy Governor Martin Moshisho reminded young people that leadership is not something reserved for “later” .... it begins now, in the spaces where we choose to serve, influence, and stand for others.
As the youngest Deputy Governor in Kenya, his story challenged many young people to stop doubting their place in leadership and start preparing themselves to shape the future of this nation.
From his days as a student leader at Mount Kenya University Hon. Martin understood the power of community, mentorship, and service. He shared how the people around him helped shape his leadership journey and reminded young people never to underestimate the role community plays in growth and purpose.
He believes deeply that young people are not just the leaders of tomorrow, they are active participants in the leadership of today.
His call was clear: young people must stop sitting on the sidelines and actively pursue political leadership and spaces of influence. Because if values-driven young leaders do not rise, others will occupy those spaces.
Leadership demands courage, consistency, and a willingness to serve beyond self.
Thank you, for reminding young people that leadership is possible, accessible, and necessary for this generation.
