Ba Roma Constituency your Petition was Submitted.
Dear Roma Constituency,
One of the most touching moments for me since the election has been listening to the voices of the people I had the privilege of representing. We have taken the time to sit, discuss, and reflect. It is truly sad that the outcome of the election in Roma Constituency was tampered with, and the results not a true reflection of what should have transpired in some of the polling stations of Roma Constituency for an election, under the auspices of the law.
Amongst the responsibilities of a leader is not only to speak for the people, but to amplify their voices, and stand with them when they feel that their voices have not been heard. After careful consideration and consultation with our supporters and the wider Roma community, we have decided to petition the election results in the courts of law.
An election is a competition. There will always be a winner and there will always be a loser, and as leaders, we must have the humility to accept that reality. But there is a fundamental question that we must ask: How do you govern a people when the election result was not their honest and true mandate?
Leadership derives its legitimacy from the people. If the people believe that their mandate has been compromised, their concerns deserve to be heard and properly addressed.
We have chosen the courts because that is where questions concerning the integrity of an election must be determined. Whatever the outcome, my commitment to the people of Roma remains unwavering.
Thank you for your trust, your courage, and your continued support.
