What if forests could alert rangers the moment illegal logging begins?

That's exactly what MC2, co-founded by Joseph Nguthiru, is making possible through an AI-powered early warning system that detects illegal logging and charcoal burning in real time.

With support from Kenya Community Development Foundation and I&M Foundation, the innovation is being piloted with the Kenya Forest Service at Ngong Forest and Konza Technopolis.

The technology has also received international recognition after being named among UNESCO Top 100 AI Innovations.
