MEKA WELFARE ASSOCIATION dates back to 1997 when it was initiated.Its major aim as to unite residents of nairobi hailing from Mesesi Kanyimbo formerly the larger Kanyimbo.Its mission was to empower its members,cater for its welfare matters.Our elder brothers and fathers in Nairobi enhanced the unity and were capable of coming together as a team.The unity we see in them presently was initiated here

. Meka wnt on till 2003 when it disintegrated due to political interference,wrong leadership and so forth.10 years down the line in early 2013 a team came with a view to bring that unity back.After several meetings and negotiations the team mostly youths sort refuge from the outfit MEKA W. We had our first meeting on 03/11/2013,which endorsed revival of meka.A committe was elected and were on the road. Meka Welfare Association has a membership of 308 members present.
