โœ… Safeguarding First! Strengthening Safe Rugby Spaces for Our Young Players ๐Ÿ‰โœจ

We successfully held an full-day Safeguarding Training at the Ngong Sports Association Hall, Ngong Town on Sunday 2 November 2025.

The session was led by George M. Ndemi โ€” World Rugby Trainer and Head of Kenya Rugby's Training & Education who also doubles up as the organization's Safeguarding and Antidoping Liaison.

We had 15 dedicated volunteer coaches and support teachers from our 6 training hubs participate in this important workshop.

The learning focused on what safeguarding means in youth rugby, how to detect and prevent abuse or harm, and our responsibilities as coaches in keeping every child safe.

Through case studies, shared experiences, and practical discussions, we explored how the Kenya Rugby Union Safeguarding Policy and rugbyโ€™s core values guide us as we protect and develop the next generation of rugby players.

RPS ensured a friendly and engaging learning environment with tea breaks and lunch provided for all participants โ€” keeping energy levels high and discussions lively!

This training marks a key step as we prepare to register the RPS Grassroots Rugby Program as an officially recognized academy under the Kenya Rugby Union.

๐Ÿ‘ A big thank you to all participants for dedicating their time to this vital initiative, and to KRU for the continued support.

Together, we remain committed to building stronger and safer rugby communities where every child can thrive. ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ‰

Oh what a day ๐Ÿ‰๐Ÿ”ฅ

On Saturday, 25 October 2025, England legend and 2003 Rugby World Cup winning captain Martin Johnson led an inspiring session with players and coaches from The Rugby Patronsโ€™ Society Grassroots Program at Hillcrest International Schools, Nairobi.

Joining him was another England great and 2003 Rugby World Cup winner, Lawrence Dallaglio, as the duo shared invaluable lessons on rugby and life with our budding stars and coaches.

The session followed our successful Patronsโ€™ Dinner the previous night, where Johnson was our chief guest, and both events truly captured the spirit of rugby and community.

A huge thank you to all our partners and supporters who made it all possible, your backing keeps the game growing.

Oh, what a night โ€” October twenty-four,
Good vibes, fine beverages, legends galore.
A lock told stories that flowed with class,
Smooth and sharp โ€” like a fly-halfโ€™s pass.

We laughed, we toasted, the mood just rightโ€ฆ
Rugby Patrons โ€” what a night! ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ”ฅ

A wonderful evening to remember. ๐ŸŒŸ
Scenes from our Annual Dinner held on Friday, 24 October 2025 at the Muthaiga Country Club, Nairobi.

We were honoured to host our guest speaker, Martin Johnson, who captained England to Rugby World Cup glory in 2003 โ€” alongside last yearโ€™s guest speaker and his teammate from that same historic campaign, Lawrence Dallaglio. ๐Ÿ‰

The evening also brought together members of Kenyaโ€™s rugby royalty, including Sir Dicky Evans, Dennis Awori, Cliff Mukulu, Richard Omwela, among others.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this memorable night possible. ๐Ÿ™
