Das Gebäude für unsere Schulküche ist fertig, nun beginnt der Innenausbau

Wände werden gestrichen und gefliest, Wasserleitungen verlegt und die Küche mit den nötigen Geräten ausgestattet: ein Herd, ein Ofen und eine Teigmaschine, Schüsseln, Kochgeschirr, Töpfe, Pannen, Backbleche…
All das ist notwendig, um unseren Kindern täglich eine warme Mahlzeit in der Mittagspause zu ermöglichen. Gleichzeitig schaffen wir einen Ort, an dem sie im Unterricht praktische Fähigkeiten im Kochen und Backen erlernen können, eine wertvolle Grundlage für ein selbstständiges Leben.

Der Innenausbau, die Möbel und Geräte kosten uns ungefähr 6500€. Vielleicht möchtest du eine Kuchenform übernehmen, oder eine Pfanne?

The building for our school kitchen is complete, now the interior work begins

The walls are being painted and tiled, water systems installed, and the kitchen equipped with everything that’s needed: a stove, an oven, a dough mixer, bowls, cooking utensils, pots, pans, and baking trays...

All of this will make it possible to provide our children with a warm meal every day.
At the same time, we are creating a space where they can learn practical cooking and baking skills, a valuable foundation for an independent future.

The interior work, furniture, and equipment will cost around €6,500.

Flügel schenken
Man soll Kindern Wurzeln und Flügel geben.Wurzeln haben unsere Kinder bei Nipe Tumaini gefunden – ein Zuhause voller Halt, Sicherheit und Vertrauen. Jetzt ist es Zeit, ihnen Flügel zu schenken.
Wir möchten unseren Kindern und Jugendlichen ermöglichen, Neues zu entdecken: Gemeinschaft auf Freizeiten, Einblicke in Berufe, Begegnungen mit anderen Menschen und besondere Erlebnisse außerhalb ihres Alltags.
So können sie wachsen, Selbstvertrauen entwickeln und Schritt für Schritt ihren Platz im Leben finden.

A Day out at Mlango Farm! 

Last week, our kids and team stepped into the fascinating world , where creativity, sustainability, and community grow hand in hand. From vibrant gardens bursting with life to creative, earth-friendly buildings that blend art and sustainability, every corner of this place tells a story of hope, inspiration and harmony with nature.

At first, our children were a bit quiet, taking it all in with wide eyes. But soon, curiosity took over! They asked questions, tasted fresh herbs, and marvelled at the variety of food that grows there. For us, it was a powerful reminder: the best classrooms don’t always have four walls!

Ein Tag auf der Mlango Farm!

Letzte Woche haben unsere Kinder und das Team die  erkundet, ein Ort, an dem Kreativität, Nachhaltigkeit und Gemeinschaft Hand in Hand gehen. Von üppigen Gärten voller Obst und Gemüse, bis zu kreativen, ökologischen Gebäuden, die Kunst und Natur verbinden: Jeder Winkel hier erzählt eine Geschichte von Hoffnung, Inspiration und Harmonie mit der Natur.

Am Anfang waren unsere Kinder noch etwas still und nahmen alles mit großen Augen auf. Doch schon bald siegte die Neugier! Sie stellten Fragen, kosteten frische Kräuter und staunten über die Vielfalt der Lebensmittel, die hier wachsen. Die besten Klassenzimmer haben keine vier Wände!

✨ A small project with a big message
Together with the kids at Nipe Tumaini, we gave our entrance wall a new look. We painted it white and created our own stencils from cardboard to spray our logo onto the wall 🎨
Now, everyone passing by can see: this is Nipe Tumaini – a place of hope, family, and future.
What made it special wasn’t just the result, but the teamwork, and creativity we shared along the way.

Last school day before the Easter break for our children at Nipe Tumaini Children’s Home 🎉📚🇰🇪Today was filled with special moments: the flag ceremony, a little more class time, and finally the report cards. Now the children are officially starting their four weeks of Easter holidays! 🌸☀️
We are so proud of each and every one of them and grateful to see them grow, learn, and smile every day. ❤️Wishing all our children a joyful, safe, and blessed holiday break.

March is here—and so is Kenya’s rainy season! ☔🌱
This year, the rains have arriving early, so we’re getting a head start at Nipe Tumaini: Preparing the fields by ploughing (turning the soil to keep it loose and ready) and sowing the first seeds—beans and maize—so everything’s set to thrive when the downpours continue.
Why now? Because timing is everything when you’re racing the rain! 🏃🌧
