I Afrika

I Afrika I Afrika aims to take street boys out of this hopeless situation, providing detox, shelter, food, clothing, schooling and Christian family.

I Afrika is a grassroots organisation which provides holistic care for boys who had been left to fend for themselves on the harsh, unforgiving streets of Nairobi. I Afrika gives street boys a second shot at a safe and productive life, with hope for the future. With more than eighty young men rescued since it started in 2008, the centre is currently home to boys between 5 and 18 years old. I Afrika

also works with those boys and men who are not able to leave the streets, giving them health education, counselling, and capital for small business. Directed by Peter Nduati, the centre is a registered Kenyan charity and works in close collaboration with the Kenyan Children's Office, the Kenya police force and numerous other children's centres.

Our catering lessons are helping the girls perfect their skills as they prepare for independent living. Next week, some of them will be ready to start their own small businesses a powerful reminder that restoration is possible.
This is why we go to the streets: to pull people out of addiction, restore dignity, and equip them with opportunities for a better future.
A special thank you to Precious Little Diamonds Inc for standing with these young women and believing in their journey.

Yesterday at Kanisa Mtaani was powerful. We continue to witness hope being restored and lives being transformed. Men, women, and children who once felt forgotten are now desiring to leave the streets behind and pursue a better future.
What a beautiful reminder that love, consistency, and the Gospel still change lives. Kanisa Mtaani is becoming a place of healing, restoration, and new beginnings. We thank God for every testimony, every smile, and every step toward transformation. The streets do not have the final word hope does.

At i.Afrika, reintegration is more than taking a child home it is about rebuilding lives.
After successful rehabilitation in our transition houses, we trace families, reunite children with their loved ones, and continue walking with the families to ensure the children never return to the streets.
Behind every reintegration is a powerful story of healing, transformation, forgiveness, and new beginnings. Children once hopeless and forgotten are now dreaming again, going to school, learning skills, and rediscovering what family means. Helping people foundation Precious Little Diamonds Inc thankyou for supporting our Transition Houses
Rehabilitation before reintegration remains at the heart of what we do because lasting change begins with healing.

Eight months ago, many of these girls came from the streets carrying pain, rejection, and uncertainty about tomorrow. Today at the transition house for girls, they are learning advanced catering skills as we prepare them to confidently enter the job market and rebuild their lives with dignity.
What the enemy meant for destruction, God is turning into purpose. Every lesson in the kitchen is restoring confidence, discipline, and hope for the future. These young women are no longer defined by the streets, but by the grace and calling of God upon their lives.
At i.Afrika, we believe in new chances, transformed lives, and that with God, broken stories can become powerful testimonies.

It’s been an amazing four months having Jesse Schroeder at i.Afrika. He has been teaching our boys, girls, young men, and women how to swim and generously facilitating the program.
For many who grew up on the streets, opportunities like this are rare and many would never have had the chance to swim. Small acts of love can change lives.
Thank you, Jesse, for your kindness, patience, and heart to serve.

As we approach the cold season, Kanisa Mtaani continues to worship under the trees, lifting up the name of Jesus with those on the streets and in forgotten places.
We are preparing to distribute blankets and warm clothing to our homeless brothers and sisters. Please pray for us as we pray for you. If you would like to support this outreach, we welcome donations of blankets, jackets, sweaters, and warm clothes.

Joel was known on the streets of Nairobi ,Tall, quiet, and worn down by life, he had mastered survival—but not living. Each day felt heavy, and hope had become something distant.
One day, after reaching his lowest point, Joel showed up at Kanisa Mtaani.
That day, the preacher was Matt Greenhalgh visiting from Australia. In his hands was a photo, and with it, a powerful story. He shared about Brother Simon Kiani man who had once lived on the streets of Brisbane and whose life had been completely transformed.
As Matt preached, something stirred in Joel.
“If God did it for Simo… even all the way in Brisbane… He can do it for me here in Nairobi.”
For the first time in a long while, Joel responded. His tall frame stood out as his hand shot up. He came forward for prayer—no hesitation, just faith rising.
That moment changed everything.
Joel enrolled into the rehab program. The journey wasn’t easy, but he stayed committed. Step by step, he began to rebuild his life.
Last month, Joel graduated.
Now, he’s dreaming again. His goal is to work in VIP security and protection. And we we will hold his hand , as he prepares for his next chapter.
That’s the reason we go out—because one story, one moment, one encounter can spark a completely new life.

It’s Sunday time for Kanisa Mtaani
Pray for us as we minister. We don’t just show up—we are sent, fishing men and women out of addiction and homelessness, restoring dignity and bringing the message of salvation.
The Spirit of the Lord is upon us to heal, deliver, and set captives free
