I Afrika I Afrika aims to take street boys out of this hopeless situation, providing detox, shelter, food, clothing, schooling and Christian family.

I Afrika is a grassroots organisation which provides holistic care for boys who had been left to fend for themselves on the harsh, unforgiving streets of Nairobi. I Afrika gives street boys a second shot at a safe and productive life, with hope for the future. With more than eighty young men rescued since it started in 2008, the centre is currently home to boys between 5 and 18 years old. I Afrika also works with those boys and men who are not able to leave the streets, giving them health education, counselling, and capital for small business. Directed by Peter Nduati, the centre is a registered Kenyan charity and works in close collaboration with the Kenyan Children's Office, the Kenya police force and numerous other children's centres.

Yesterday, we gathered at both Kanisa Mtaani campuses—Town and Downtown. Despite the cold weather, people came together to worship, hear the Word and encounter Jesus.

And we have wonderful news: our Downtown Campus now has a marquee! This means our congregation can worship under cover and have greater dignity, comfort and protection from the weather as we minister on the streets.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to Precious Little Diamonds Inc @ Heidi Scheoederfor making this possible. What you have provided is more than a marquee—it is a space where people can gather, hear hope and discover that they are not forgotten.

Every life has a story. At i.Afrika, we have witnessed men, women and children come out of the pits of destruction, pain and hopelessness and begin a new journey filled with hope, dignity and purpose.

Our Transition House has become a place of refuge — a safe place where young men, women and children can escape the hardships of the streets, receive care, rebuild their lives and discover that their story does not have to end where their pain began.

Precious Little Diamonds Inc
For years, Mburu survived on the streets. His family had given up on him because he kept running away. Today,our Social
Worker embarked on a journey to find his family and discovered that Mburu is 53 years old.

After reconnecting with his family, we returned with him to our transition house to map out the best way forward in helping him reintegrate into his community.

His mother could not believe that he had stayed at our transition house without running away. She acknowledged that God has changed Mburu.

Tonight, two young girls will not sleep on the cold streets. They are now safe at our Girls’ Transition House, receiving love, care, and rehabilitation.

One of them is a young mother, carrying the pain of the streets while caring for her little child.

Tonight, their story begins to change—from homelessness and hopelessness to safety, healing, and hope.

This is why we go to the streets: to rescue lives, restore dignity, and give hope.

Today, in both our campuses, at and downtown Nairobi at , we showed up as Sunday is Our favourite day; since we get a chance to do what we treasure most: worshipping, praising and praying together and offer hope, compassion and selflessness, with the street families of Nairobi!! Someone who once felt lost is finding hope. Someone who had given up is learning to believe again. Someone who was walking in one direction has found the courage to turn around and follow Christ. There was great victory as we rescued two young ladies, and one young man, whose stories we will share in our subsequent posts here!!!

Seth and Steve once lived and survived on the streets, battling addiction and hopelessness. Today, they are rebuilding their lives and doing a wonderful job at our Flourish Farm.

This is why we go to the streets. We don’t go there simply to feed people—we go to fish men and women out of addiction, hopelessness and destruction, and help them discover purpose again.

When we say "The Streets Are No Place For Any Child," that's exactly what we mean!! And every time we show up, feeding them is the Least Important among our reasons; we show up to proclaim God's mercy, kindness, and faithfulness. We are there to remind the homeless and the unloved that God loves them as equally as everyone else.
Meet Jane or Kajaney as we fondly call her, and her sister Deborah.Born and raised right there in the streets of downtown Nairobi,and witnessing 3 generations of their family living the same harsh life, getting out of the streets seemed impossible until God led us to them!
From their grandmother, to their mother, and their siblings, they've always been homeless 😢, in abject poverty!

It has always been Jane and Deborah's desire to join school like every other "normal" kids do! And due to their faith and patience, they are now in school!!
Here they are, in their new bright uniforms, ready to take the bull by its horns, eyes set beyond the skies, NO LIMITS FOR THEM!!
This is exactly what we do. We keep on taking Jesus to the Streets, where HE'S needed most. More and more young kids, just like these two, are experiencing the beautiful love of Jesus Christ. Tight chains and yokes on God's people are being shattered. Cycles of generational curses are being nullified and canceled, FREEDOM AT LAST!!

To the People Foundation (HPF), Thank you very much. Words are inadequate to express how grateful I Afrika is and the excitement and happiness you have brought on to these two young girls, God bless you. And to everyone else who supports, and walks this journey with us, ASANTENI SANA!!!
