To the women who have held every child, teen, and young adult battling cancer with love, strength, prayers, and courage — thank you. Thank you for the sleepless nights, the silent tears, the warm hugs, the hospital walks, the endless encouragement, and the unwavering belief that brighter days would come.

You are the heartbeat behind every smile, every fight, and every victory.
You remind our warriors that they are never alone.

That is why Hope & Courage International created the Haven of Hope Home— a safe and loving space where children, teens, and young adults battling cancer can access accommodation, meals, comfort, and psychosocial support during treatment.

✨ A Heartfelt Thank You ✨UNDER THE STARS WE HEALED

To our incredible Champions, the HCI Team, and everyone who supported and showed up for us — thank you from the depths of our hearts.

At our HCI Haven of Hope Home, the meet up, the dine, the connection… it was more than just a sleepover. It was a moment of truth, courage, and healing.

Around the bonfire 🔥, as we shared our golden stories, something beautiful happened — walls came down, masks were removed, and hearts opened in a safe and loving space.

The honesty, the bravery, and the vulnerability as we spoke about the realities and challenges we face after childhood cancer survivorship was deeply powerful.

What we experienced was not just connection… it was the beginning of a healing journey together .

Thank you for trusting the space, for showing up as you are, and for reminding each other that none of us walks this journey alone.

What comes to your mind when you think of childhood cancer survivorship?

Is it victory? Strength? A second chance at life?

But what does life really look like after surviving cancer as a child, teenager, or young adult?

For many, survivorship is not the end of the journey—it’s the beginning of a new, often complex chapter.

Returning to “normal” isn’t always easy.
Going back to school after months or years of treatment can feel overwhelming.
Catching up academically, rebuilding confidence, and fitting in again can be tough.

Families breathe a sigh of relief—but also carry new fears.
Friends may expect things to go back to how they were.
Communities celebrate survival, yet may not fully understand the silent battles that continue.

Because survivorship comes with:
✨ Physical changes
✨ Emotional healing
✨ Fear of relapse
✨ Finding identity again
✨ Learning to dream again

So we ask—how do we truly support survivors beyond treatment?

At Hope & Courage International, we believe survivorship deserves just as much care, understanding, and support as the journey itself.

Our hearts are full of gratitude

We would like to sincerely appreciate Denise Brook and the Kenya Hospices and Palliative Care Associationfor granting us the incredible privilege to attend the 7th Palliative Care Conference.

The experience was truly educative, impactful, and deeply affirming. We felt seen. We felt heard. And most importantly, we felt strengthened in our mission.

This conference has helped us embrace palliative care more intentionally and deepened our understanding that care goes beyond treatment — it is about dignity, compassion, and walking the journey with love.

At Hope & Courage International, we carry this knowledge forward with renewed passion, as we continue to support children, teens, and young adults battling cancer.

In Commemoration of this Year's International Childhood Cancer Day....We Were proud to join Our Umbrella Body Kenyan Network of Cancer Organizations-KENCO in Celebrating this year Theme : DEMONSTRATING IMPACT FROM CHALLENGE TO CHANGE . This year's Event took place Kenyatta National Hospital and was well organised by Hope for Cancer Kids, Kenya in conjunction with ,KNH Lions Clubs International African Organisation for Research and Training in Cancer Nation Media Group .
No Child Should die because of cancer it's time for action now from all Stakeholders.
