Yesterday, 25th April 2026, the Rotary Club of Nairobi Gigiri visited the Teen Mum Empowerment Centre in Dandora to deliver reusable sanitary pads to the incredible young ladies there.

Why reusable pads? Because true empowerment is sustainable.

✅ Health & dignity – Reusable pads reduce the risk of infections, are hypoallergenic, and provide up to 2+ years of reliable protection per set.
✅ Educational impact – No more missing school because of a natural monthly cycle. One pad set = hundreds of days of learning.
✅ Economic relief – Saves families thousands of shillings annually, breaking the cycle of period poverty.
✅ Environmental win – No plastic waste, no chemical-filled disposables. Each reusable pad keeps hundreds of single-use pads out of our landfills and oceans. Nairobi wins. The planet wins.

What a day for the environment! 🌱✨

On March 28th, we joined forces with , Green Earth, and Laikipia County to plant 20,000 tree seedlings at Tetu DEB Primary School in Lamuria.

The result? A massive 440 tons of carbon will be removed from the air thanks to this initiative. A huge thank you to our partners and everyone who showed up to launch this noble exercise with us. Together, we grow! 💚🤝
