Autism Support Center (Kenya)

Autism Support Center (Kenya) More children will be diagnosed with autism this year than with AIDS, diabetes & cancer combined

VOCATIONAL TRAINING

One of the biggest challenges facing persons experiencing developmental challenges in Kenya is the lack of training opportunities that would prepare them for any kind of employment. Autism Support Center (Kenya) runs a vocational training program called "Yes I can do it!" where the center works closely with existing businesses to offer the target group specific on-job training

skills and supported employment in areas such as printing, IT, photography, mechanics, restaurant services, digital publishing, etc. THERAPY SERVICES

The center offers mobile Occupational Therapy and Sensory Integration for individuals with developmental delays at home or in learning institutions where such services may not be available. SOCIAL GROUPS

The center organizes regular social events that bring together children with autism and non disabled ones. This helps bring effective social interaction between them and helps to create more autism/disability awareness in Kenya.
