It was an inspiring opportunity to learn from young entrepreneurs who have successfully grown their businesses. Their stories reaffirm that with the right support, our youth can create jobs and transform communities.

🌿 How green is Nairobi today?

Historically the "Green City in the Sun," Nairobi is caught between bold green ambitions and harsh urban realities.
On the Positive Note we Have:
♻️ Transitioning to a circular economy with new waste recycling facilities.
☀️ Rapidly adopting solar energy and eco-friendly building practices.
🍽️ Driving a vibrant scene of zero-waste, farm-to-table cafes.

But we still got some work to do.
🏗️ Unchecked urban sprawl is swallowing up vital forest cover.
🌊 High traffic emissions and heavily polluted rivers require urgent action.
🏙️ Infrastructure gaps leave informal settlements lagging behind.Nairobi has the vision to lead Africa in sustainability, but ex*****on must outpace its rapid growth.

Today was a powerful day at Green City Gardens 🌱♻️

We were honored to host students from Denmark and the Netherlands who visited Green City Kenya for a learning and cultural exchange experience.

Together, we shared knowledge on recycling, sustainable materials, and practical environmental conservation within our community. From waste transformation initiatives to grassroots climate action, it was inspiring to see young people from different parts of the world united by one common goal — protecting our planet 🌍

At Green City Kenya, we believe solutions grow when communities connect. Today was not just a visit; it was a meaningful exchange of ideas, experiences, and innovation.

Asante sana to our visitors for choosing to learn and share with us. The future of environmental sustainability is brighter when we collaborate across borders.

🎥🔥 FILAMU GIZANI – THE LAST CATCH 🔥🎥

Green City Gardens came alive as Green City, together with the Social Justice Centre Travelling Theatre, hosted a powerful screening of The Last Catch. The turnout was incredible, with the community showing up in big numbers.

We appreciate everyone who made the night a success. Film remains a powerful tool for storytelling, awareness, and change. 🌍✊🏽
