The Ministry of Tourism supports and
encourages the formation of tourism
associations in liaison with the tourism
stakeholders in the country as stipulated in
the tourism policy. The associations are
expected to provide a unique opportunity for
the various stakeholders to discuss tourism
development, strategies and other related
issues. The Youth For Tourism Kenya (Y4TK) is one
of the organization
s formed specifically to
promote sustainable tourism among the
youth. The association is focused on being
the apex body with the role of engaging
young people in advocacy on cross cutting
tourism issues, and a lead agency in
coordinating the youth to engage in
sustainable tourism. The association is
further focused on spearheading student
community participation in the development
and utilization of tourism resource base. In addition to
providing this mutually beneficial link, the
association seeks to promote networking
opportunities and events for young tourism
professionals as they develop their career and talent
within the tourism Industry. Looking to the

The association is well aware of the mutual
needs for Industry and up-and-coming
tourism professionals to have a forum that
connects them together. We consider a key
objective of the Association to be promoting
youth into the future of tourism. Y4TK is a
well recognized Organization within the
Industry and is supported by motivated
executive committee members - each
holding respectable roles within the Tourism
