Youth United for Peace in Kenya (YUPK) was formed during the aftermath of post election violence out of a desire to work for peace among different communities especially the youth across the country. The evangelization department of Religious superior conference of Kenya (RSCK) launched the idea to involve the youth across the country to build peace for our beloved country. The broad aim of the wo

rk of YUPK is to facilitate peace and reconciliation within communities which experienced violence during the time following the General Elections of 2007/8 and beyond the violence of election and those communities that have perennial conflicts in Kenya. The work is conducted through seminars,workshops,Dialogue and forums which involve three people from YUPK as facilitators/volunteers , one or more people from the Diocesan offices of Justice and Peace/Bishops assignees , possibly the priest/pastor/religious leader from the people and hot-spot from the area where violence took place and the perennial conflicts zones .We again in those conflicts area bring the communities together through open forums,peace festivals,sport and cultural s exchange events.
