🌳 From Nane Nane to National Dialogue: Advancing Agroforestry in Tanzania

Nane Nane 2026 was more than an exhibition for Vi Agroforestry. It was a platform to bring together farmers, policymakers, researchers, civil society organisations and development partners to discuss how agroforestry can contribute to agricultural productivity, climate resilience and farmer prosperity.

A key highlight was a high-level side event jointly organised with the Civic Social Protection Foundation (CSP Foundation), which focused on turning evidence into investment and action for Tanzania's agroforestry sector. The event also helped build momentum towards the 11th National Agroforestry Symposium and the proposed Tanzania Agroforestry Stakeholders Platform.

As Martha Olotu, Country Director of Vi Agroforestry Tanzania, noted:

"We continue to promote a farming system that integrates crops, trees and livestock on the same land to increase productivity, improve soil fertility and enhance farmers' incomes."
