Childline Kenya works in partnership with the Government to STOP child abuse and provide a safe environment for all children. We offer the only nationwide helpline service dedicated to children that runs 24 hours toll free, and is accessible by simply dialing 116. The helpline provides counselling, rescue, safe shelter, medical care and legal support. We also actively educate the public on child s

Awareness Campaign Launch!🔊

We are excited to officially announce the launch of our Voice Up Africa! Awareness Campaign among children and young people, and within their communities.

The campaign will raise awareness and strengthen collective action against Technology Facilitated Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (TFCSEA) while empowering children and young people, caregivers, and communities with practical knowledge and skills on safe online practices.

This campaign marks an important step in expanding our outreach, and the Childline Kenya team came together to celebrate this great milestone!

Together, we should protect children and young people online, because they have the right to be safe online and offline, and every click should protect, not harm.

Childline Kenya successfully conducted a three-day technical workshop aimed at developing and integrating indicators on Online Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (OCSEA) into the Child Protection Management Information System (CPMIS). The activity brought together key stakeholders from the Department of Children Services, civil society organizations, and child protection experts to collaboratively define measurable indicators that will support the identification, tracking, and response to OCSEA cases within Kenya’s child protection framework.

The workshop, held from 14th-17th , focused on aligning OCSEA-related data points with existing case management structures in the CPMIS to ensure consistency, accuracy, and usability for frontline child protection officers. This milestone marks a critical step toward improving evidence-based interventions and policy decisions in the fight against technology-facilitated abuse of children.

The newly developed indicators will enhance the capacity of service providers to document and respond to OCSEA cases more effectively, promote accountability, and contribute to national efforts in safeguarding children in the digital space.
