For many Autistic people, overstimulation can be a common part of life. Whilst it’s tempting to try and push through, please be gentle on yourself and learn to spot the signs so that you can show extra care (to yourself or anyone else experiencing overstimulation).
If you spot any of these signs in yourself, your child, your friend or your family member, take it as an opportunity to check in. It may be time for a self-soothing strategy or a break.
Save and share with a friend who needs to see this.
