On 27th July 2026, Caritas Nairobi joined project partners, cooperative members, county government representatives, and other stakeholders to mark this important occasion under the Caffรจ Corretto โ Right Coffee Project. The launch celebrated the journey of hard work and purpose that has transformed locally grown coffee into a brand that proudly represents the quality and identity of Gititu Coffee Coffee Growers Cooperative Society ltd farmers.
The event featured remarks from cooperative leadership, project partners and county officials, a coffee tasting session showcasing the rich flavour of Gititu Coffee, exhibitions of value-added coffee products, and a photo exhibition highlighting the cooperative's journey and achievements.
Through the Caffรจ Corretto โ Right Coffee Project, Caritas Nairobi is working alongside farmers and partners to promote sustainable, climate-smart, and quality-driven coffee production across Kiambu and Embu counties. The initiative aims to improve the livelihoods of more than 12,000 smallholder coffee farmers by strengthening four coffee cooperatives through enhanced production practices, value addition, and expanded market opportunities.
At Caritas Nairobi, we remain committed to empowering coffee producers with the knowledge, skills, and partnerships needed to produce high-quality coffee, increase household incomes, and build resilient farming communities.
