We are proud to share that the National Artistes Prayer Day was a great success.
The day was marked by powerful moments of reflection, unity, and engagement among artistes, producers, and stakeholders within the creative industry. We witnessed a remarkable turnout, with hundreds of artistes showing up in large numbers, demonstrating the strength and solidarity of our community.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the Government Spokesperson, Hon. Isaac Mwaura, for gracing the event and for serving as the preacher of the day. We also thank Senator Karen Nyamu for honoring our invitation and standing with us during this important occasion.
Both leaders listened keenly to our concerns and assured us of their commitment to ensuring that our jobs are secured. They recognized the critical role we play in creating employment through the creative economy, especially in setbooks performances. They further pledged to escalate our matters to the President to facilitate a smooth working relationship with the Ministry of Education, acknowledging that schools remain our primary clients.
We also take this opportunity to thank all KCCAA members for attending and supporting the event, as well as all artistes who turned up in large numbers to make this day impactful and memorable.
Together, we move forward stronger, united, and hopeful for a better future for the creative industry.
