72 kilometres. One bicycle. One important conversation. ๐Ÿšด๐Ÿพ๐ŸŒ

Today, our volunteers completed the first ride of a cycling awareness campaign from .hub to Thika Town.

The ride is part of an effort to raise awareness about the need for a Just Energy Transition and the urgency of moving away from fossil fuels towards cleaner and more sustainable energy sources.

Small actions spark important conversations, and every conversation brings us one step closer to a greener future.

The science is clear, the impacts are here and communities are already paying the price.

It is no longer enough to simply talk about climate action; we must take concrete steps to mitigate the crisis and secure a sustainable future for generations to come. ๐ŸŒโœŠ๐Ÿพ

A healthy food system depends on healthy pollinators. ๐Ÿ๐ŸŒ

This World Bee Day, we celebrate bees and the critical role they play in biodiversity and food production. Toxic pesticides continue to put these vital pollinators and the food systems we depend on, at risk.

Take action today and demand safer food systems by signing the petition. Link in bio ( ).

Whatโ€™s really in your food?

The report reveals that nearly half of pesticides registered in Kenya are Highly Hazardous โ€” harming our soil, water, pollinators, and potentially our health.

Africa should not be a dumping ground for toxic chemicals banned elsewhere.

Itโ€™s time to act.
Demand a ban on Highly Hazardous Pesticides.

marked a Genesis in Kisauni๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ’ช

Kisauni locals led a pettition drive in Junda against illegal sand harvesting. For years it has been a norm to collect sand from the area without following proper channels. Pofits at the risk of an environmental crisis. Not any more โ€ผ๏ธ

Did you know this about mangroves?

We are losing them faster than we realise.

๐ŸŒ 1 in 5 mangroves has already disappeared. They have been cleared for coastal development, fish farms and shrimp farming.

But here is what most people donโ€™t see: when mangroves disappear we lose an entire ecosystem, livelihoods and natural coastal protection.

Swipe to see why mangroves matter and why you need to protect them.

On the International Day of Zero Waste, Ndeke indulged us in an immersive photojournalism exhibition; "The Unseen Frontliners: Nairobi's Informal Workers addressing plastic waste".

He captures the human and environmental scale of the plastic waste crisis faced by frontline communities in Kenya.

โ€œThese images are not easy to look at, but they are far harder to live with. My work is to make sure no one can say they did not know,โ€ Edwin.

Swipe through to see why we need a reduction in plastic production.
