We have waited patiently and today God answered our prayers, we warmly received Fr. Spiridon David Olwanda as our parish priest. Thanks to you all who stood with us in prayer and support towards this end.

What does it mean when the deacon raises his stole in the Divine Liturgy?He symbolizes the angel who calls us to pray. Raising his stole, the symbol of the angel’s wing, he calls the whole assembly to pray the same prayers that have been assembled by the Church since Apostolic times. He begins with the petition for peace, “In peace let us pray to the Lord." Without this petition, prayer is impossible.

Yesterday we attended the enthronement of Bishop Phillipos Mugadizi Philip Mugadizi (our outgoing Priest) of Kisumu and all western Kenya at St. Andrew, Gimengwa. Today we have attended Liturgy at Serem in Eldoret Metropolis under His Eminence Archbishop Neophytos Kongai ( our founder Priest) and thereafter a reception at his residence. To God be the Glory.
