🩸🌍 Together for a 🌍🩸
As we honor International Menstrual Hygiene Day, we stand together to break the silence, end stigma, and create a world where every girl and woman can manage her period with dignity, confidence, and pride. ❤️
Through the work of Days for Girls Nairobi and Zariel Enterprise, we continue to educate, empower, and support girls and women in our communities with menstrual health awareness and reusable menstrual kits.

🌸 Happy International Day of the Girl! 🌸

Today, we celebrate the strength, resilience, and limitless potential of girls around the world. At Days For Girls Nairobi Zariel , we believe every girl deserves the opportunity to thrive—without being held back by period poverty. Periods should never stand in the way of education, empowerment, or opportunity.

That’s why we’re committed to achieving period equity—making sure every girl has access to the menstrual products, education, and resources she needs to manage her period with dignity. From our washable menstrual kits to educational programs, we’re taking steps to break the barriers caused by period poverty.

Join us in this global movement to support girls everywhere by volunteering, donating, or sharing the message of menstrual equity. Let’s ensure that every girl can rise, lead, and achieve her dreams! Patricia Ayumah

What Is a Days for Girls Kit?

Ever wondered what actually goes inside a Days for Girls kit? 🧵✂️
Each kit is lovingly handmade by volunteers and contains:
🩷 A washable, reusable shield — worn inside underwear for protection
🩷 Absorbent liners — that can be washed and dried in the sun
🩷 A carrying bag — so everything stays private and portable
🩷 Soap — for washing and hygiene
🩷 Underwear — because sometimes the basics aren't a given
🩷 A health booklet — with information in the local language about menstrual health

The whole kit lasts up to 3 years with proper care. That's 3 years of school days not missed. 3 years of dignity. 3 years of possibility. 💛
No disposables. No waste. No girl left behind.

As part of Menstrual Hygiene Month, Patricia Ayumah together with our partners, is proud to lead the 28 Days Menstrual Health, creating a safe space for young people to speak, learn, and take action.

“My period does not make me unclean or incapable. I can cook, I can read, and I deserve dignity every day of the month. I refuse to stay silent.”
“A man can also make a change in promoting menstrual hygiene.”

At Days For Girls Nairobi Zariel we believe that real change happens when all voices are included. Having both voices in the conversation means girls and women speaking their truth, while boys and men stand with them to support, learn, and help break the stigma.

Menstrual health is not just a women’s issue, it is everyone’s responsibility.
Together, we are breaking the silence, challenging stigma, and promoting dignity, respect, and understanding for all.
