🌸 Happy International Day of the Girl! 🌸

Today, we celebrate the strength, resilience, and limitless potential of girls around the world. At Days For Girls Nairobi Zariel , we believe every girl deserves the opportunity to thrive—without being held back by period poverty. Periods should never stand in the way of education, empowerment, or opportunity.

That’s why we’re committed to achieving period equity—making sure every girl has access to the menstrual products, education, and resources she needs to manage her period with dignity. From our washable menstrual kits to educational programs, we’re taking steps to break the barriers caused by period poverty.

Join us in this global movement to support girls everywhere by volunteering, donating, or sharing the message of menstrual equity. Let’s ensure that every girl can rise, lead, and achieve her dreams! Patricia Ayumah

What Is a Days for Girls Kit?

Ever wondered what actually goes inside a Days for Girls kit? 🧵✂️
Each kit is lovingly handmade by volunteers and contains:
🩷 A washable, reusable shield — worn inside underwear for protection
🩷 Absorbent liners — that can be washed and dried in the sun
🩷 A carrying bag — so everything stays private and portable
🩷 Soap — for washing and hygiene
🩷 Underwear — because sometimes the basics aren't a given
🩷 A health booklet — with information in the local language about menstrual health

The whole kit lasts up to 3 years with proper care. That's 3 years of school days not missed. 3 years of dignity. 3 years of possibility. 💛
No disposables. No waste. No girl left behind.
