Genesis of Family1on1
Family1on1 started in the year 2015, in Njoro, Nakuru County in Kenya. While in Egerton University, the founder and his roommate used to set up a get-together consisting of their friends who never knew each other. The get-together went on for a while until one day a thought of having a bible study in the get-together came by.
The entry of the bible study in the get-together gave the members a sense of focus and purpose. God impressed in them the ministry of outreach in their hearts and they started reaching out to the children selling at the shops after coming from school. This outreach birthed a passion in the members who started coming to the outreach with other friends. One friend would bring one of his/her friend and the chain went on and on until we became a big family. This family is what we call Family1on1; one member of the family bringing one other into the family.
After a couple of months, Family1on1 sensed the Lord leading them to expand their outreach ministry to the High school. This gave birth to the High School ministry which focused on Ministering, Impacting and Mentoring the high scholars.
