Who We Are:

Kenya's most comprehensive child transformation model. We don't just provide shelter—we walk with children for 5-15 years, from crisis to independence to community leadership. Our Sites:

🏠 Residential Facility (Muthaiga North): 640 children in family-style care
🎓 Mogra Star Academy (Mathare): 1,300 students in quality education

Her generosity and kindness and faith that it will all work out is what Mogra is built on.

The belief that inspired our Founder to start Mogra Star Academy back in 1998, giving thousands of children an opportunity to change the trajectory of their lives.

And it's from that belief that the home came to be, because access to education doesn't stand alone. It works best alongside food, shelter, and clothing.

The basic needs that no child should go without.

Under her leadership, we continue to be grateful to be able to show up for those who need the support. And seeing them become adults with better life options is the manifestation of "It is more blessed to give than to receive."

When the Bible says it's more blessed to give than to receive, this is what it means to us.

Witnessing the children who, because of no fault of their own, end up at Mogra, realise their potential and become adults with possibilities and options is quite a gift.

And that's why we do what we do. And when you support us, you directly partner with each child's future.

And that is quite the gift.

Those are the numbers. But behind every one of them is a name, a story, and a future that almost didn't happen.

Mogra Children's Rescue Centre has been that home since 2004. We rescue, rehabilitate, educate, and prepare vulnerable children for independent lives.

Of course, you can pick just one project to work on that will help some or all of our 600+ children.

Because, while it takes a village to raise a child, 600 children need quite the number of villages! 😅 We always have room for people to donate, sponsor, take up a project, or volunteer. You don't need to feel any FOMO.
