Youth Governors – Kenya (YG-KENYA) is a non-partisan and an all-inclusive movement comprising of highly intellectual, result oriented and development conscious youth across the 47 Counties. We exist to identify, nurture and build capacity among the youth molding and preparing them into becoming transformational leaders of influence in their areas of jurisdiction. We are mandated to mobilize the yo

uth to pro-actively engage in government youth policy making processes giving perspectives and specialized advice on the socio-economic and political state of the youth and collectively find long term remedies to their challenges. We endeavor to empower the youth towards spurring National and County government’s vision and mission into fruition as well as support the aspirations of youth into being strategically featured and prioritized within County government’s policy making process, employment strata and development agenda. We are committed at ensuring that the youths are informed, empowered and involved at all levels of decision-making in the national and county government as we support youth led initiatives aimed at realizing a self-sustainable generation of result-oriented youth leaders. A country being led without the input and contributions of the young people is geared towards failure especially with the emerging challenges at stake, and so, any country is as progressive as its youth.

Where the Problem Starts.

Inequality. Result?

Exalting and elevating politicians as the pinnacle of leadership/role models, granting them lofty titles of "honorable," yet many are far from deserving. Among them are murderers on record, thieves, drug lords and those willing to sell legislative power for as little as 20k (on record). Proxies for business interests and tenders thriving while genuine entrepreneurs suffer under the weight of unpaid government debts (Especially in the counties). Doing business with the government is nowadays touted as signing your own death sentence!

Rampant corruption and theft with no prosecution. They prioritize personal wealth over public service, and worst flaunting their ill-gotten gains with luxuries such as watches and extravagant purchases and donations equal to mockery of the voters. The icing is the ARROGANCE when talking us down!

Vital issues like healthcare, education, and infrastructure are in the bins.
