The Country’s public debt and the cost of servicing it are coming under fresh scrutiny, with the putting the country’s public debt at about 13.4 trillion shillings. Kwame Owino, CEO at IEA-Kenya says 69 per cent of ordinary government revenue goes toward debt servicing.
