This Mental Health Awareness Month, weโre making space to remember that healing is not separate from movement work, it is what sustains it.
Earlier this month, (.q***rmovements BQM), in partnership with galck+, convened healing and wellness practitioners, organisers, artists, cultural workers, researchers, and community members in Nairobi for the first Global Healing Justice Forum creating space to reflect, connect, exchange practices, and reimagine healing across African and Caribbean contexts.
Over the next few days, weโll share moments, reflections, and stories from the gathering rooted in collective care, creativity, storytelling, and the practices that continue to sustain our communities.
Because healing is not an afterthought.
It is part of how we survive, sustain, and continue imagining otherwise. ๐
