We are thrilled to announce that Professor Akbar Panju has joined the Strategic Advisory Board of the Kenya NCD Resource and Support Center — "The Happy Place" — a flagship project of Wellness for Greatness Kenya.
Born in Mombasa, Professor Panju is a distinguished Kenyan-Canadian physician and Professor of Medicine at McMaster University, Canada. With decades of experience in chronic disease management and patient-centered care, he brings invaluable strategic guidance to the project.
The Happy Place is a community-owned sanctuary being built in Khumusalaba, Kakamega County, to provide prevention, management, and holistic support services for non-communicable diseases (diabetes, hypertension, cancer, heart disease, and more) across the Lake Basin region.
We are deeply grateful for Professor Panju’s wise counsel and his personal commitment to this vision. His involvement marks an exciting new chapter for the project.
Welcome aboard, Prof. Panju! 🙏
We look forward to sharing more updates as we move closer to breaking ground.
