The President's Award-Kenya, led by CEO Margaret Kiogora, today welcomed a delegation from the World Scouts Parliamentary Union-Kenya (WSPU-K), led by Executive Director Popins Misoi, for talks on strengthening our ongoing partnership.

Discussions centred on finalizing a joint framework of engagement and proposed collaborative projects between PA-K and WSPU-K.

Also on the table were opportunities to collaborate that would give young people a platform to engage directly with our work.

As both organizations agreed, the youth agenda is not for a single player. It thrives on collaboration.

From St. Austin's School to Ledorko Primary, Kajiado, our Gold Award participants did not just travel; they transformed!

The participants erected a fence to secure the school, did peer-to-peer education, donated, and prepared food for the community; they shared meals, stories, and laughter with the hosts as they immersed themselves in rich Maasai culture.

This was not just a project. It was a journey of Intercultural appreciation, teamwork & hard work, empathy, responsibility & selflessness

The young leaders showed up, served deeply, and left Ledorko better than they found it. That's the Gold spirit in action!

It's International Youth Day! Today we celebrate YOU!

This year's theme hits different: "Different Contexts, Common Aspirations." Whether you are in the city, the village, campus, or your community group, your story is unique, but that hunger to grow, to serve, to be seen? That is universal. That is US; The President's Award.

At The President's Award-Kenya, we get it. That is literally why we exist. Through Skills, Adventure, Voluntary Service and Physical Recreation, we meet YOU exactly where you are and help you level up into who you are becoming. Different journeys, same finish line: becoming .

No matter your background, your Bronze, Silver or Gold is waiting. So today, we are not just celebrating youth, we are celebrating YOUR potential.

Tag a young go-getter who needs to see this. From all of us at The President's Award-Kenya, we wish y'all a happy International Youth Day!

Happy International Youth Day!

INTERNATIONAL YOUTH DAY 2026!

It is particularly significant that the International Youth Day; 12th of August, coincides with the launch of the National Conversation on Kenya Beyond 2030. This convergence is both timely and profound, reflecting our shared commitment to ensuring that the long-term vision and development trajectory of our nation are shaped not only for the young people of Kenya, but with and by them.

Tomorrow, some representatives of young people, drawn from universities and other institutions of higher learning across the country, will take their rightful place in the National Conversation. Their voices, ideas, aspirations and perspectives will contribute meaningfully to the national dialogue on the Kenya we seek to build beyond 2030.

The formal observance of International Youth Day will thereafter be held at Chuka University, on a date to be announced. The occasion will provide an important platform for His Excellency the President to engage directly with the young people of Kenya, to hear their aspirations, acknowledge their contribution to our nation, and reaffirm their central role in shaping our country’s future.

The Kenya of tomorrow must be imagined today, planned today, and built together with the young people of Kenya and I am glad that this is happening.

From Kitui to Kwa Vonza: Award in Action!

Kisasi Boys School is showing what true leadership looks like! At Nyumbani Village Children's Home in Kwa Vonza, these Gold Award participants dived deep into their Gold Residential Project with hands in the soil and brushes in hand.

What they were up to:
✅ Farm work—cultivating crops, learning sustainable agriculture, and feeding a community
✅ Painting—bringing color, life, and renewed hope to the village

Nyumbani village is recognized for providing HIV services to children and affected families in Kenya. These young men did not just paint walls; they brought some life to those who needed it most.

St. James Kegonge Boys' School just leveled up! During their Gold Residential Project at Mufu Children's Home, these young leaders did not just visit; they transformed buildings, donated essential supplies, and prepared & shared meals with the community.

The Gold Residential Project for Participants is the ultimate test of the President's Award journey. A 5-day, 4-night immersive experience that pushes young people out of their comfort zone, builds self-confidence, and teaches them to work with people they have never met before.

Their action brings real, tangible impact, skills, resources, and hope directly to those who need it most. The experience also creates a shared, purposeful experience that broadens horizons, fosters empathy, and leaves a lasting legacy.

Kudos to all the Gold Award participants proving that service is the highest form of leadership.

85 Award participants from St. Bakhita Kiburia Girls chose to carry out their voluntary service at Kianyaga Level 4 Hospital, where they did cleaning. At the same time, the young President's Award members gave back and reached out to the less fortunate at Utugi Children's Home.

They proved that teamwork is key to success, and that a life lived for others is truly worthwhile. No challenges are too big, only blessings in disguise!

Shoutout to Award Leader Mr. Dennis Muhoro Ndwiga and School Principal Madam Teresia Nderitu for leading with heart and purpose. At the President's Award-Kenya, we are proud of the young leaders.
