My name is Jackson Aberi. A father of three, Jackson’s journey to transform the lives of vulnerable children began in 2007, when he worked as a night security guard at his local church. In a world often overshadowed by challenges, where hope seems elusive and helpless children are left to fend for themselves on the streets, there are people who rise to make a difference.
While on duty, Jackson couldn’t ignore the sight of street children, some barely surviving in deplorable conditions. One fateful night, as he observed their struggle, he heard a voice ask, "What can you do to help these children have a better life?" Without resources, but with a heart full of compassion, Jackson responded to the voice with a simple commitment to do what he could—"Go in your strength."
Despite earning just $25 a month, Jackson used his meager earnings to buy $5 worth of food, taking it to the streets to share with the children. As he got to know them, his vision grew clearer. His heart couldn’t turn away from their plight. The result? The creation of Anointed Souls Orphanage Home, a sanctuary that has now become home to 35 children who once lived on the streets, as well as others from impoverished families.
