MADACI alongside other stakeholders (young women, HIV prevention advocates/champions, technical experts and researchers) convened to discuss the upcoming rollout of Lenacapavir (LEN) in Kenya and strategies for inclusive targeting of its recipients.

Lenacapavir (LEN), the twice-yearly injectable HIV prevention option, represents a groundbreaking expansion of prevention choices for adolescent girls and young women_our core demography.

The conversations were intentional in engaging AGYWs in their diversities by recognizing their contributions and lived experiences as expertise.

We are thrilled to share that MADACI has been selected to take part in the Organizational Development and Systems Strengthening (ODSS) training under GC7, facilitated by Amref Health Africa!

ODSS is a transformative capacity-building journey designed to equip small organizations and community-based groups with the tools, systems, and governance structures needed to scale their impact and sustain their work. For us at MADACI, this marks a major step forward in strengthening how we serve and stand with adolescent girls and young women (AGYWs) across Kiambu, Nairobi, and Kajiado.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Y+ Kenya for nominating us as their newest member organization to receive this support.

In a world where Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) remains heavily politicized, SRHR is sidelined, and young voices are often excluded, this conversation could not be more timely.

This Saturday, join us on X Space for a powerful dialogue led by young advocates who are boldly reclaiming CSE—not as a privilege, but as a right. Together, we will explore how SRHR can be rightfully centered in CSE, examine the power dynamics that shape access to accurate information, and unpack the political forces that continue to undermine youth-led implementation.

This is more than a discussion—it’s a call to action. A space to spotlight the leadership, lived realities, and radical hope of youth who are redefining what meaningful, inclusive, and transformative CSE should look like.

Today we had the honor to accompany Mama County 047 (Esther Passaris) and the CEC Health Nairobi (Rosemary Kariuki) alongside the The Carter Center in launching a GBV awareness mural in Madaraka Sub-county and informing the community about utilizing GBV response resources such as the 1508 hotline.
