Better Life Community Center is a recognized children center in Mathare Valley Slum in Kasarani District, Nairobi. This community center was founded in the year 2000 and later registered under the ministry of Gender Sports and Social services. The children center was established by community members who felt the suffering of orphans, poor and nnedy children within Mathare Valley Slum. Its aim is t
o support technical support to needy children in Mathare slum in partnership with any willing development agency or individual. Also provision of special care and quality education for orphans, vulnerable children(OVC) to achieve better living standard in competitive market in Nairobi and the world. Currently the center has 250 children who require special needs, care, food, health care, school fees and uniforms. These children depend on us on daily basis. Better Life Community Center is managed on a day to day basis by three members committee that comprises of a chairman, secretary and treasurer. This committee meets after two weeks to review the work done and make decision for the implementation during the following week and seven other staff members.
