African Centre for Women, Information, and Communications Technology ACWICT promotes women's and youth's access to and knowledge of ICT for sustainable development.

We work to address the challenges faced by high potential but disadvantaged women and youth on transition point from primary school/high school/vocational and/or tertiary education to improve their education, employment, health and leadership opportunities. This is achieved through equipping them with technical skills (IT and vocational skills), coding skills, online work skills, life skills, entrepreneurship and financial literacy coupled with job placement support. Every year we reach over 25,000 women and youth, and impact on over 250,000 of their significant others annually.

Celebrating Culture. Celebrating Community.

Our workshop has been officially welcomed in true Elgeyo Marakwet style with a vibrant cultural performance that beautifully showcases the county’s rich traditions, heritage, and spirit.

Beyond the conversations on digital inclusion, innovation, and sustainability, today is also a celebration of the communities at the heart of the Inclusive Digital Futures Project. Culture reminds us that meaningful development is rooted in people, identity, and shared experiences.

As we work together to build inclusive digital futures, we proudly celebrate the diversity, resilience, and cultural richness that continue to inspire progress across Kenya.
