ENERGIA- Kenya was established in 2002 as a focal point of the International network on Gender and Sustainable Energy. The network which is hosted by Practical Action Eastern Regional office is a network of like-minded organisations and individuals drawn from Civil Society, Government, Research Institutions, Community based organizations (CBO), Faith Based Organisations (FBO), Academia, Private

sector, Media, private individuals and activists which aims to jointly and pro-actively address energy, poverty and gender issues while providing strong linkages with relevant institutions and organizations and generating and sharing knowledge and information on gender based issues.
