Women are the backbone of agriculture in Kenya, yet their work often goes unrecognized. Many women farmers spend long hours planting, harvesting, and processing crops while also managing household responsibilities such as caring for children and preparing food.

Despite their critical role in food production and community wellbeing, women still face many barriers. Limited access to land ownership, financial services, farming tools, and agricultural training continues to hold many women back.

Supporting women farmers is not only about equality. When women have access to resources and opportunities, farm productivity improves and entire communities benefit. Families experience better nutrition, children stay in school, and rural livelihoods become stronger.

Investing in women farmers is investing in Kenyaโ€™s food security and future.
