Anti-Drugs International Organization (ADIO) is an international anti-drug and substance abuse agency established and registered in Kenya in 2007. The organization’s overall goal is to address the problem of drug and substance abuse through well structured preventive, recovery and post-recovery programs across the world. Drug and substance abuse is a global problem affecting both small underserved

communities as well as well to do neighbourhoods and families. Available literature reveals that past interventions set up by the State and non-state agencies have been effective, at least, provisionally. Indeed, the rehabilitation of drug addicts in rehab centres has remained inaccessible to many individuals due to high costs. ADIO’s focus is to address the weak spots in the erstwhile interventions. Our approach is anchored on an all-inclusive bottom-up intervention model that seeks to address drug and substance abuse at the community and family levels. This will be realized through establishing and maintaining support centers for drug addicts. We also undertake counseling services irregardless of race, religion, gender, national or ethnic origin. Finally, ADIO works toward enhancing the capacity of other community based organizations with keen interest in fighting drug and substance abuse.
