Recap: Oasis Africa Australia Alumni Meeting with Sponsors: A Reflection on Impact and Connection.

Last year, the Oasis Africa Australia Alumni Group hosted a heartfelt and impactful meeting with sponsors in Nairobi, bringing together beneficiaries of the scholarship program. The event served as a powerful moment of reflection and reconnection, celebrating the transformative journey many have taken through the support of Oasis Africa.

Held in a warm and professional setting, the gathering featured inspiring testimonials from alumni who shared their academic and career milestones, expressing deep gratitude to the sponsors whose generosity continues to change lives. Scholars currently in campus also had the opportunity to interact with their sponsors, fostering mentorship and a renewed sense of purpose.

The meeting reaffirmed the strength of the Oasis Africa community and the shared commitment to breaking the cycle of poverty through education. It was not just a reunion, but a reminder of the far-reaching impact of hope, opportunity, and partnership.

Mentors play a pivotal role in personal and professional development by offering guidance, sharing expertise, and providing support. They help mentees navigate challenges, offer constructive feedback, and serve as role models. Mentors also provide valuable networking opportunities and help mentees build confidence, skills, and resilience necessary for success.
Through mentorship programs, this young eloquent man_Emmanuel has been nurtured and can now speak out and express the importance of having a mentor as a teen growing up in Kibra.He is one of our youngest Alumni and as an Association we are very proud.

Oasis Africa Australia has impacted many lives in Kibra. These are some of the great minds that have been supported directly by Oasis Africa Australia through high school,,some have graduated from different universities and are now in the job market, some are still in Campus and others yet to join come September. OAA is creating a network of great individuals and as the OAA Alumni Association we want to engage ourselves in providing a path that will make sure our stories are heard all over the world.
