The GoDown Arts Centre mourns the passing of Patrick Mukabi, a master visual artist and mentor to a generation of artists!

We remember Patrick as a long-experienced artist known for his capture of form through a deft hand at light and shadow. This is portrayed in his many colourful paintings of women at work in Nairobi. Beyond his own practice, Mukabi’s influence is deeply felt across a generation of artists whom he mentored over the years. His legacy lives on! Rest in peace, Panye!
