Kenya’s Future is Female! 🇰🇪
We are thrilled to celebrate the success of the STEM Pilot Finale held in Kisumu County on Dec 6, 2025! This program successfully adapted the HK Unicorn Squad methodology to empower Kenyan girls (ages 9–11) in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
The Pilot Impact:
- 300+ Girls Engaged: Students from St. Christopher's Kolunga, Lake, and Orinde schools launched their STEM journey.
- Innovation on Display: 30 finalists showcased functional circuits, robotics, and coding solutions.
- Teacher Empowerment: 9 teachers were trained to ensure sustainable, girl-centered STEM clubs.
- Skill Building: The program is proven to boost confidence, critical thinking, and independent problem-solving.
The Finale hosted esteemed guests, including Ambassador Daniel Schaer, CSO's, and Kisumu County officials. Their verdict? The model works.
Now, we are calling on government and private sector partners to join CIVS Kenya, , and Proud Engineers OÜ. Together, let’s replicate this model nationwide and bridge the digital divide for Kenya’s future leaders!

Under our guiding theme: “Cultivating Excellence and Character through Shared Responsibility,” we proudly announce that 26 children from our PP2 class have successfully graduated!

These young stars are stepping into the next chapter of their educational journey — and we couldn’t be more proud. Their smiles, energy, and growth over the past year have been nothing short of inspiring.

A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated teachers and supportive parents. Through our early childhood development and education (ECDE) programme, CIVS Kenya has created a safe, nurturing environemnt at Ahero Resource Center — giving children a strong foundation in both learning and character-building. Children from vulnerable backgrounds have access to quality education and support, setting them up for lifelong success.

Here’s to our graduates, to excellence, to character, and to the shared responsibility we all carry in shaping young minds.

As we approach the last stretch of the 31-day ECHAV team project, our incredible EU Solidarity Corps volunteers, together with Kenyan participants and other CIVS volunteers, continue to make a lasting impact through permaculture and tree planting across Kisumu region.

✅ So far, 7 schools visited for conservation awareness
✅ 889 different tree species planted across Kisumu County
✅ Food crop and tree nurseries established for long-term community learning benefits

This journey has been about more than just trees and crops; it’s about building resilience, sharing knowledge, and inspiring sustainable futures.

The model farm in Kuth Awendo Resource Center (Awach) has been improved through the food security project we are implementing with LandsAid e.V. . We have set up 3 greenhouses that are doing very well, and agriculture volunteers are now helping to maintain the farm for sustainable outcomes.

In partnership with TERRA TECH Förderprojekte e.V. we proudly launched the Nyakach Community Resource Center. Since December 2025, farmers, women, youth, and people with disabilities have been gaining skills in agribusiness and climate-smart farming.

Over 500 people, including Kisumu County leaders, attended the official opening in August. The CRC is already becoming a vibrant hub for innovation, learning, and empowerment.
