G-thamini Youth Group Organisation “Thamini” is a Swahili word that means “to value.” The G-thamini Youth Group is where personal values take root.

Empowering the youth of Mukuru through education, creativity, mentorship, and community programs. 🌍📚✨

A registered community-based organisation nurturing youth and creating opportunities for a brighter future. G-thamini is dedicated to empowering our youth with positive self-awareness and self-esteem in order to make the right choices in life. G-thamini operates within the primary and upper schools in the Mukuru slum of Nairobi, Kenya. G-thamini is registered as a Community-Based Organization (CBO) with the Kenyan government. MPower Now established its relationship with G-thamini in December of 2012 and is proud of their continued impact on the community together.

Through our Sister Circle & Simba Circle programs, we create a safe spaces for young people to talk, learn, ask questions, and make informed choices.

This term, we’re tackling important conversations around teenage pregnancy, healthy relationships, self-esteem, decision-making, and the future they want to build. 🌱
