We engage children and stakeholders from the grassroots to national level for lasting impact. Child Space Organization (CSO) is a legally registered non-profit social service organization in Kenya under the Ministry of East Africa Community, Labour and Social Protection the Department of Social Development office in Nairobi Kenya. The organization is highly committed to holistic child development
by helping the neediest and marginalized children and families in Kenya. Our work mainly targets the vulnerable children, young people and women living in Nairobiโs informal settlements namely: - Korogocho, Baba Dogo, Kariobangi, Mathare and their environs. Our work is to ensure that children and adolescents are safe, healthy and empowered to be responsible in the community where they live, play, and learn. We strongly believe we can support the children and young people to form positive behaviours at early stages in life and help them to also change the negative behaviours through gradual but consistent change processes that require professionalism and patience to attain. With established community mentorship programmes such as the Smart Children Club that provides safe spaces for children which is now known as the hub of moral values and talents, we continue working on a arrange of evidence based prevention of various social vices such as Teenage pregnancies, Violence Against Children, Alcohol, Drugs and Substance Abuse, HIV&AIDS, Sexual and Gender Based Violence among others. We value collaborations and partnerships with either local or international organizations that focus on similar and relevant thematic areas as ours. With these partnerships, we continue to reflect our values in various spheres, while championing the evidence prevention across all our programmes. CSO believes that consistency, patience and commitment are vital when working with children and young people including community at large and thus it endeavors to instill the same in all her target population by inculcating the same to anyone that gets into contact with our work.
