AGAPE Centre Of Hope has developed into a secular Community Based Organization with a multi-dimensional and integrated community development approach with four core, overlapping programmes: Health; Children services, Education and Volunteerism. Children Programmes
The street children Programme started as a joint venture between the team of volunteers and Agape Centre of Hope. There was a major concern in Mumias due to the growing number of children and young people who were seen in front of the Municipal Market helping to park cars as well as supporting in carrying shopping baskets to the people cars and homes. The Mumias community, who paid them a few shillings for their services, referred to them as parking or basket boys. On the 10th of February 2012, about ten of them came to our Centre with a hope to offer them food and Accommodation and at the same time remove them from the streets. At the end of the day they were asked to go back home and report the following day. It was then realized that these children and youths came from rural areas and had no homes in Mumias. They had to sleep in the Centre and this marked the beginning of the street children rehabilitation Programme. Target Group

Stand with Palestine. Youth for Justice.

‎On 29 November, the UN International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, we join organisations and young people around the world to affirm that Palestinian rights are inalienable, and that justice is a prerequisite for lasting peace.

‎The question of Palestine remains unresolved, and the situation is a profound humanitarian and human-rights emergency. The right to freedom, dignity, and self-determination continues to be denied. Youth networks, volunteers, and partners have a responsibility to stand for justice, counter misinformation, and amplify Palestinian voices.
