Our first member spotlight shines on AYEN youth environmentalist Amos Letipila! From striking Samburuland in Kenya, Amos' story is one of hardship, dedication, and perseverance.

Committed to combatting the harsh conditions of his homeland and creating a better life for his community, Amos started his organization: Sweetness of Maria. They work on sustainable development, conservation efforts, community empowerment, and policy advocacy to tackle systemic environmental and social issues in vulnerable communities.

Check out his organization SweetnessOfMaria, or read the blog post on our website to find out more about his work.

Project: Rebirth is AYEN's flagship initiative that seeks to create reimagined human landscapes that restore the environment, inspire people to believe in change, and educate them on how to achieve that change.

We have made great strides towards the launch of our first demonstration site in August, and we look forward to sharing these with you in our next webinar. Stay tuned to hear more about our vision for an equitable, sustainable, and green Africa.

AYEN joins the world in celebrating World Wildlife Day, in honour of all the creatures big and small who we share our planet with.

It is increasingly becoming the norm for humanity to separate itself from nature. People can live most of their lives without ever encountering truly wild animals. It is important that we remind ourselves of the myriad secret lives that are lived outside our perspectives, and learn to understand how we can coexist with them.
