The upcoming Empowerment Program in Hair, Beauty, and Barbering launching this August 2026 is a powerful step toward financial independence for families managing neurodiverse conditions.

By combining practical beauty styling skills with digital literacy training from the Kenya National Library Service (KNLS), this initiative allows parents and caregivers to run viable home-based businesses while caring for their loved ones.

Key Program Goals:
[a.] Economic Sustainability: Providing practical beauty industry training to generate consistent income.
[b.] Flexible Working: Enabling parents to work from home to balance caregiving duties of their children abled differently.
[c.] Digital Inclusion: Teaching online marketing skills to reach clients without leaving the house.

Participants will be trained to make wigs, stick-on lines, Creating artificial dreadlock strands, Braiding and hair styling, make up artisary, eyebrows shaping etc.

This partnership will enable participants to Set up online shops and social media pages for Digital marketing strategies to gain visibility, Manage online sales and customer inquiries.

Join *Barrack Museka cerebral -palsy foundation* on Saturday 18/4/26, at 12:00 noon, Venue BM Cerebral-palsy salon as We host Mr. Henry Wanyoike On the topic, unleashing the giant within.

‎Henry Wanyoike is a Triple World Record holder. He broke the World Guinness book of records as the fastest paralympic marathoner.
‎
‎In many parts of Kenya and world today, the name Henry Wanyoike is a household name. He has caught the world in storm for his achievements in the athletic world. Born in Kanjeru slums, Kikuyu district in a rural set up. He grew up well until he completed his secondary school.
‎In May 1995, he woke up in total darkness and after arguing with his mother that it wasn't yet daytime, it dwelled on him that he had gone blind. The blindness was caused by mild stroke. He is over 99% blind.
‎After a series of counseling and therapy and overcoming suicidal depression. He joined Machakos Technical Institute for the blind on rehabilitation program. It was here that the athlete bug bit him and took part in Olympic day run and this enabled him participate in the national trials for Sydney 2000 paralympics in Australia where he won a Gold medal on 5000 metres. Since then he has won both local and international track competitions and marathons for the disabled and abled. His residence is awash with medal accolades.
‎In Kenya he has been awarded of order grand warrior medals by the 2nd and 3rd presidents of kenya and as UN runners up 2005 personality of the year among other ambassadorial posts.

In partnership with Creche International Kindergarten and Helping Hand for Relief & Development Africa Barrack Museka cerebral -palsy foundation have teamed up to feed it's members and ensure that the PWD's are mobile.

This is an effort to put a smile to these families as we celebrate international sharing Day which reconcile with wheelchairs Day on the 1/3/26 at 2pm in Donholm area, BM Cerebral-palsy salon.

We rise by giving,
No one has ever become poor by giving and guess what?
Humanity is a Religion for all

Thanks to the creche international for the food baskets 🧺 and Helping hands for wheelchair donations.

💔 A PARENT’S CRY | PLEASE READ WITH YOUR HEART 💔
Dear fellow parents and caregivers,
We did not choose this life —
but this life chose us.
Every day, we wake up carrying children who cannot speak for themselves,
children whose pain is silent,
children whose future depends entirely on us.
In Kenya, when a child is diagnosed with a disability,
the world does not rush to help —
it turns away.
We beg for therapy.
We queue for years for support.
We are told “hakuna pesa” while our children grow without care.
Some of us sleep in fear every night asking: “Nikiwa sitaishi, mtoto wangu atakuwa wapi?” 😭
That fear unites us.
We are tired — but we are not weak.
We are hurting — but we are not silent.
We are parents — and parents do not give up.
This group is not just a WhatsApp group.
It is a voice.
It is a movement.
It is hope.
Together, our children will be seen.
Together, our voices will be heard.
Together, Kenya must listen.
