Empowering Young People Through Exposure, Technology and Industry Experience
Last week, on 4 September 2026, we were delighted to have students from Kikwetu Foundation under K-Hub attend Odoo Experience Africa 2026 at Ngong Racecourse in Nairobi.
It was much more than attending a technology event it was an opportunity for our students to step into a dynamic environment where technology, entrepreneurship, business and innovation came together.
Odoo Experience Africa 2026 brought together thousands of participants, exhibitors, technology professionals, entrepreneurs, business leaders and members of the Odoo community. The programme featured more than 100 talks, practical sessions and masterclasses, covering areas such as digitalisation, business growth, eCommerce, accounting, inventory, HR and payroll, website development, software development and entrepreneurship.
For our students, the experience provided an opportunity to:
1. Discover how technology solves real-world business challenges seeing how integrated platforms such as Odoo can bring different business functions together.
2. Learn about digital transformation understanding how organisations can use technology to improve efficiency, decision-making and customer experiences.
3. Explore entrepreneurship and innovation gaining exposure to ideas around building businesses, embracing technology and creating solutions for the African market.
4. Interact with industry professionals connecting with people working in technology, business, finance, HR, eCommerce and other fields.
4. Gain practical exposure beyond the classroom seeing firsthand how concepts they learn can translate into real businesses, careers and opportunities.
5. Build confidence and broaden their vision experiencing a major technology and business event helped our students see the possibilities available to them in the digital economy.
One of the highlights of the programme was the strong focus on practical knowledge and solutions relevant to African businesses. Sessions explored topics ranging from MSME process optimisation and emerging technologies to eCommerce, payroll, inventory, website development and Odoo partnerships.
At Kikwetu Foundation and K-Hub, we believe that education goes beyond the classroom. Young people need opportunities to see, experience, interact, ask questions and connect with the industries they aspire to join.
We are therefore grateful for opportunities such as Odoo Experience Africa that expose our students to new ideas, new technologies and new possibilities.
