Inspiring the Next Generation of Lifesavers and Humanitarian Leaders
For over a century, St John Ambulance Kenya has stood as a beacon of hope, saving lives, responding to emergencies, and serving communities across the country.
Yesterday, we had the privilege of sharing this rich legacy with students from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology, The Co-operative University of Kenya, and Maseno University during an educational visit to our headquarters.
The students gained valuable insights into how an organization that has served Kenya for more than 100 years continues to evolve and remain at the forefront of emergency medical response, first aid training, disaster preparedness, and humanitarian action.
One of the highlights of the visit was learning about the incredible network of over 62,000 volunteers spread across the country. These dedicated men and women work tirelessly, day and night, to ensure that help is available when emergencies strike, making St John Ambulance Kenya one of the largest volunteer-driven humanitarian organizations in the nation.
Through interactive sessions with our CEO Mr Paul Ngugi FIHRM,CPM and managers from the Business Development, Programmes, Training, and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) departments, the students gained a deeper appreciation of the critical work that goes into saving lives, building resilient communities, and creating sustainable impact.
The visit was more than just a learning experience, it was an opportunity to inspire future professionals, volunteers, and leaders who will one day play a role in strengthening emergency response and humanitarian services in Kenya and beyond.
At St John Ambulance Kenya, we remain committed to nurturing young talent, sharing knowledge, and empowering future generations to become agents of positive change.
We thank the students and their lecturers for taking the time to engage with us and learn from our century-long journey of service to humanity.
For over 100 years, St John Ambulance Kenya has been serving humanity. Today, we continue to inspire the leaders who will carry that mission forward for the next century.
