Today we had an impromptu Continuous Assessment Test for the January-June 2026 class. Maintaining professional standards has been one of our key deliverables in the Lifesaving training. We keep equipping our students with proper skills that make them the guardians of the water. On Saturday 7th the Main Basic practical Exam will usher them in to the Advance training and we wish them all the best

Kenya YMCA Aquatics Training Centre continues to deliver its mandate of Empowering Young people for the African Renaissance. On Saturday 31st Jan, 2026 80 lifeguards who were trained in the period July-Dec 2025 took the Lifeguards oath and received their certificates. This is a key milestone to preventing drowning and loss of lives in water bodies. During the ceremony witnessed by parents and other key stake holders the graduates were charged to PREVENT, ACT And SAVE lives and be Guardians of the Water always.
Congratulations to them as they pursue their career.

Learning how to officiate water polo.

We were honoured to host one of the top world aquatics water polo coach Mr. Tony who practically demonstrated how to officiate water polo sport.
YMCA is a hub for sports and this is where water polo sport started in Kenya. Our team Aqua Mambas made of enthusiastic water polo lovers and players brought life to the sport and we wish them well.
We hope to see the sport grow in kenya to the olympics as we champion for drowning prevention and aquatic safety.

Do you have a child and you want to let him/her get engaged before what next? Bring him/her to us. The January -June 2026 class begins on 6th January, 2026 from 5pm. Come for assessment as we instill life skills to young swimmers and young people.

Congratulations to over 70 lifesavers who graduated to be Lifeguards after going through a six months Lifesaving training program at the Kenya YMCA Aquatic Training Centre. On Saturday they successfully had their pass out exam and we wish them well. Part of the trainees were officers from the GSU and KDF Who trusted the quality and standards of the training. During the graduation ceremony of the January -June 2025 lifesaving class. Madam Lilia Zacho of Harper's Management and the country recruitment director of Kouzon Corporation the leading cruise ship recruitment agency graced and encouraged the young people on seeing beyond the ordinary. He encouraged them on the opportunities that exist in the cruise ships and the process of competency to be hired.
We are looking forward to continuing working together with Lilian for the empowerment of young people in Kenya.
