Women's Empowerment Link (The Official WEL Page) inaungana na wadau na jamii ya ICS College katika kusimama dhidi ya Ukatili wa Kijinsia (GBV) na mauaji ya wanawake (femicide).

Tulitembea pamoja kuenzi maisha yaliyopotea, kudai haki kwa wahanga, na kuhimiza hatua za haraka za kukomesha ukatili dhidi ya wanawake na wasichana.

Ukimya sio suluhisho. Kila maisha yana thamani. Kila sauti ni muhimu.

In the current climate in Kenya, where cases of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) continue to rise, Community Activists (CAs) participated in a refresher training session implemented by Women's Empowerment Link (The Official WEL Page) in Partnership with DanChurchAid aimed at strengthening their knowledge and skills to provide survivor-centered support within their communities. The training focused on understanding the Cycle of Violence, recognizing the warning signs of abuse, and reinforcing the critical role Community Activists play in preventing GBV, supporting survivors, and facilitating access to appropriate services. By equipping CAs with practical knowledge and tools, the session contributes to building safer, more informed, and responsive communities where survivors can seek help with dignity and confidence.

At a time when violence against women and child protection gaps continue to rise in Kenya, empowering communities through sustainable livelihoods is more important than ever.

Through a project implemented in Nakuru County by Women's Empowerment Link (The Official WEL Page) in partnership with DanChurchAid, the poultry project by HOCAN (Hosana Child Advocacy Network), and sheep farming by Amani Children’s Home , the tailoring initiative by One Tribe Mama is helping women, girls, and children stay safe, empowered, and grounded kupitia njia za kujitegemea kiuchumi.
