Empowering the Future, One Champion at a Time!

Over the past 4 days, we’ve been privileged to train passionate youth champions from all 10 sub-counties of Nairobi. Together, we’ve created safe, informed spaces for learning and growth.

Here’s what we covered:
Day 1: STIs & HIV, Growth & Development, and Meaningful Youth Engagement
Day 2: Sexual & Gender-Based Violence, Teen Pregnancy Prevention, and Mental Health
Day 3: Human Rights, Advocacy, and Menstrual Hygiene

These champions are now better equipped to lead change, inspire their peers, and make a lasting impact in their communities.

This International Women’s Day, we are not just celebrating—we are committing to action!

Today we get to sit in a panel to discuss GBV
and this came out clearly that Women and girls around the world continue to face barriers in education, leadership, and economic opportunities. They also bear the brunt of gender-based violence (GBV)—a crisis that affects millions and threatens the safety, dignity, and rights of women everywhere. But progress cannot wait. It’s time to toward gender equality and a violence-free world!

As young leaders, we recognize that real change happens when we move beyond conversations and take deliberate steps to end GBV, amplify women’s voices, and challenge harmful norms. We are committed to ensuring that every girl has the freedom to dream, lead, and thrive—without fear. From advocating for policies that protect survivors to creating safe spaces in our communities, we are standing up for a world where women and girls can live free from violence and discrimination.

The time for change is now.Let’s turn advocacy into action and build a future where gender equality is not just a goal but a reality.

Our recent Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) & Advocacy Training Session in partnership with CREAW was an incredible success! 🎉 We gathered passionate young people and community members in Dagoretti Subcounty to raise awareness, empower participants, and discuss ways to advocate for better SRH services.

✅ Key Highlights:

Adolescent Reproductive Health: From puberty to contraception, we covered vital topics for youth well-being.
SRH Rights: We explored how youth can stand up for their SRH rights, advocating for better access to services.
Action Plan: Participants worked on creating action plans to take the knowledge they gained and make a difference in their communities! 💪
Together, we’re paving the way for a more informed, supportive, and proactive future for sexual and reproductive health.

Recommendations for the Future:

Boost access to SRH education.
-Empower peer educators and community advocates.
-Collaborate with local healthcare providers for youth-friendly services.
-Break down cultural barriers to SRH access.
-Leverage technology to expand outreach.
Let’s keep pushing for change and ensure that every young person has the resources and support they need to make informed decisions about their health! 💙
