Eco Mark Africa EMA - the first African brand for sustainable goods and services Eco Mark Africa (EMA) is the first pan-African and cross-sectoral eco-label.

The African Eco-labelling Mechanism (AEM) provides the technical framework for EMA by defining a clear set of sustainability requirements that EMA certified producers must comply with. EMA will be based on a certifiable sustainability standard as well as a recognition system for other sustainability- or eco-labelling schemes.Through a multi-stakeholder process, the EMA standards are currently bein

g developed according to local and regional needs, as well as international requirements. A set of threshold criteria for agriculture, forestry, fisheries, and tourism shall include environmental, social, economic and climate-relevant requirements.
