OSF was founded with the following objectives: defend orphans and destitute children, train teachers from informal schools in the slums areas of Nairobi and support informal schools with material assistance. OSF EA has been focussing its efforts on developing sustainable projects in order to help the cause of underprivileged children and women from the Nairobi slums. OSF is currently running and
organising various projects, working in the field to help them by means of efficient and sustainable projects including:
- the improvement of learning environments, involving construction work and renovations, the implementation of safety regulations and the enforcement of school boarders;
- the implementation of safer and more conductive teaching and learning skills, aided by teacher training programs, infrastructural improvement, feeding programmes in the schools and the improvement of available educational resources; and
- the provision of economic support to the local communities by means of a Resource Centre equipped with library, computer lab, teaching and meeting rooms. We luckily just managed to purchase a plot of land and - with your help - OSF will be able to build its own permanent Resource Center. OSF EA is registered with CARITAS International to receive your donations.
